Pom Team

2023-24 Pom Team
Program Overview:

The University of Toronto pom team is a group of spirited and technically strong dancers who are passionate about dance and competitive sport. Pom represents the intersection between dance and cheerleading. The U of T pom team was the first collegiate pom team in Canada and continues to remain on the forefront of the country's spirit team evolution. The team is dedicated to performing at football and basketball games, and makes numerous appearances at promotional and charitable events. Past appearances include the Toronto Pride and Santa Claus parades, the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Light the Night for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, and the Balanse Bum Run. In past seasons, the pom team has also been invited to participate in high profile events. In 2016, the pom team performed as part of the NBA All-Star Weekend Centre Court games, and in 2015 danced in the opening ceremony of the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games produced by Cirque du Soleil. Additionally, the pom team performs annually at national and international competitions, and holds winning titles at both levels.
